Biography: The coach of the Seneca Lady Irish could sit and boast all day. In his 24-year career as Seneca’s girls’ basketball head coach he never had a losing season and he had a record of 560-80 (.875 winning percentage).   Anderson’s teams won 17 Interstate Eight Conference titles at the time of his induction in 2000. He finished his career with 20 straight 20-win seasons, 21 IHSA Regional titles, including 18 of his last 20 years, 11 IHSA Sectional crowns and 8 Elite Eight appearances.  In 1987, Anderson’s club posted an undefeated Class A state championship (30-0) by defeating (Carthage) Hancock Central 54-47 in the title game. His teams took second in 1991 and fourth in 1982 and 1989. Seven times Rich Anderson earned a district IBCA Coach of the Year at the time of his induction. He was IBCA state Coach of the Year in 1987.
