Biography: Mike was a long time assistant basketball coach at Mid-County High School and Midland High School in Varna.  He coached at the two schools for a combined 30 years.  Mike also spent 7 years coaching at the middle school level in North Carolina.  Among his middle school players was C.J. Harris, who went on to play at Wake Forest University.  In addition to his coaching contributions, Mike was a scorekeeper at Mid-County and Midland for 25 years and scouted many games to help prepare the varsity teams.
