Biography:
Lonnie was an All-City selection in 1962 while playing at (Chicago) DuSable High School. He went on to play at Upper Iowa University and Wilberforce. The 6'7" Lynn played professionally in the NBA and ABA after beng drafted by the St. Louis Hawks in 1966. He also played for the Denver Rockets and Pittsburgh Pipers. After basketball, Lonnie became a group counselopr and founder of Denver's Chapter of Amer-I-can. He is also known for performing musically on albums created by his son, the rapper Common. Lonnie Lynn passed away on September 12, 2014. His Hall of Fame induction came posthumously.
