Biography: Dr. Leland M.T. Stilwell was an all-state center for Olney in 1920 and led them to a high finish in the state tournament that year.  When Olney defeated Champaign 43-34 that year, he scored a record 34 points.  This single game record stood for 30 years until Max Hooper scored 36 points in 1950.  Dr. Stilwell went on to play for the University of Illinois where he starred for three seasons.  He became an All Big Ten player in 1924.  Later, he was the U of I team physician for nearly 25 years.  Dr. Stilwell passed away on October 18, 1979 at the age of 77.
