Biography: The College of DuPage won its first women’s basketball national title in 2000 with a final record of 30-2.  The Chaparrals, ranked #1 in the nation entering tournament play, defeated 3-time defending champion Anoka-Ramsey (MN) 72-61 in the finals.  Sophomore All-American Ali Klaas was named the tournament MVP after scoring a record 75 points in the three game national tournament.  Beth Rooks also earned All-American honors.
