Biography: 

Rick has been reporting on sports for more than four decades. He began his career as a reporter in Hoopeston before moving on to DeKalb, Joliet, Elgin and, for the 20 years leading up to his induction, the Aurora Beacon News.

During Rick’s days at DeKalb he served as a beat reporter covering Northern Illinois University athletics. In his 40 years of sports reporting, he had the opportunity to cover a wide range of college and high school basketball.
