BiographyJim Bone moved to Collinsville in 1947 and became friends with IBCA Hall of Fame Coach Vergil Fletcher. Bone became a statistician for both the Collinsville basketball team and the football team. This was the position Bone kept through 1967. Bone also helped out in some phase of coaching back in the 40’s and 50’s when coaching staffs weren’t as large as they are today. Bone helped transfer injured players and also took care of them at Collinsville. Bone also assumed the public address announcer role for the Kahoks in 1983, a position he still held at the time of his induction for home games and tournaments. Always active in civic affairs, Bone served on the Collinsville Park Board, the Collinsville Planning Commission and  on the Collinsville Police Pension Board. During the 1950’s, Bone served  the Collinsville American Legion baseball program as its athletic director and manager.  Jim Bone died on May 19, 2003 at the age of 82.
