Biography

Kina averaged 22.8 ppg, 13 rpg and 4.3 apg at Chicago Washington High School. She set a school record for points in a game with 45 and rebounds in a game with 22. She was a two-time first-team all-stater and the Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year.

Kina moved on to Western Michigan University, where she scored 1,814 points and is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame. She was the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year and a three-time all-conference pick.

She played in the early years of women’s professional basketball.  Her NBL teams were in Chicago and Dallas.
