Biography: Monty’s teams posted 350+ varsity wins as he became the winningest coach in Stewardson-Strasburg High School’s history.  He coached on the junior high and high school JV levels in his 39 year coaching career.  Monty’s varsity teams won 1 IHSA District title, 6 IHSA Regional championships, and 2 IHSA Sectional titles.  His 1995 team advanced to the IHSA Class A Elite Eight level.  He also was an assistant coach on Effingham High School’s 1980 and 1981 IHSA state finals teams.
