Biography:  John became the dean of Chicago Catholic League head coaches, compiling a 425-247 record in 25 seasons with the Friars.  He led Fenwick to 11 IHSA Regional titles, 2 IHSA Sectional championships and 1 IHSA Elite Eight appearance (1998) in that span.  Fenwick captured 7 CCL Championships with an overall CCL record of 201-123.  Overall, John saw 68 of his former players compete at the collegiate level, 30 of them at the NCAA Division I level.  John's teams achieved a top twenty ranking in Illinois he is a 7-time IBCA District Coach of the Year and a 5-time CCL Coach of the Year.
