Biography: Bob Bogle guided upstart Nashville High School to a 1978 IHSA Class A boys basketball state championship with a 54-38 win over Havana High School. That came after an upset of future Mr. Basketball Walter Downing and (New Lenox) Providence Catholic High School 55-52 in the second semifinal at Champaign. When the smoke cleared, Bogle had two all-tournament choices in Roger Stieg and Paul Patton. Those wins were only two in Bogle’s 396-189 record that included stints at Centralia High School and Pekin High School.  The Murray State University graduate numbered five conference championships, 10 IHSA Regional championships and 5 IHSA Sectional crowns during his coaching days. During his tenure at Nashville he had a 43-game conference winning streak. Bogle was inducted into the Centralia Hall of Fame in 2005.
