Biography: Ernie Eveland had a fabulous 29 year coaching career of 793-178 for a .815 percentage. His great Paris teams won two state championships (1943 and 1947) and two state runners-up (1939 and 1942). Overall, he had 11 teams in the State Tourney, seven in a row from 1938 to 1944. In addition to his fantastic basketball success, Coach Eveland won the Illinois State Cross Country Championship four straight years. He is a member of Bradley University’s Hall of Fame.  Ernie Eveland passed away on July 6, 1987.
