Biography: The keenness of the competition amongst Tri-County basketball schools gives reason for the spawning of great rivalries and friendships. One such enduring relationship has developed between Ted Waterous with basketball at Henry-Senachwine High School and the Tri-County Conference. For more than 25 years, Waterous served as official scorer for the Mallards including regular season, Tri-Country Tournaments and IHSA Regionals. As an avid follower of high school athletics, Waterous always returns to basketball for his favorite. Among his fondest memories are watching the high school tournaments in crowded old Huff Gymnasiums and then witnessing the first tourney to be held in the Assembly Hall. We lost a fan and friend of Illinois High School Basketball when Ted passed away during June, 1982.
