Biography: Frank Metzinger was the sports editor of the Peru News Herald for 16 years and the LaSalle News Tribune for 18 years.  His career spanned over 40 years covering prep sports in the LaSalle-Peru area.  Frank was one of the pioneers in the prep sports field.  He is a past president of the Illinois Valley Sportswriters Association.  Frank attended LaSalle-Peru HS and spent his career in his hometown area.
