Biography: Al Zimmerman was one of the most popular officials ever to come from the Chicago area. He worked high school basketball for 27 years especially in the Private League. Over those years, Al worked numerous IHSA regional and sectional games. Additionally, he worked the Illinois Junior College Tournament and many of the top holiday tournaments. Besides basketball, Al officiated high school baseball and football games.
