Biography: Richard Bradshaw established himself as one of the finest high school players to grace the City of Chicago. Bradshaw enjoyed three years as a starter at Marshall, averaging 15 points as a sophomore, 21 as a junior and 22 as a senior. Marshall had 24-9 and 25-5 records his final two years. A two-time all-state player, Ricky was also an all-America selection by Parade, Scholastic Magazine and Dell Basketball. As a 6’3” sophomore at Kansas, Bradshaw led the Jayhawks in rebounding although he was working from the guard position. Returning to a forward spot as a junior Bradshaw averaged 7 points and three rebounds. Bradshaw led the Jayhawks in scoring his final three games as a junior with 22, 16 and 19. The final game of that 20-7 season was in the National Invitation Tournament.
