Biography: Quincy High School compiled a 76-15 record in three seasons with Wisman as the playmaker. The Blue Devils made state tourney appearances in 1972 (2nd place) and in 1974. Wisman averaged (in successive years), 10.5, 16.8 and 23.7 ppg. At the time of his graduation in 1974, Wisman held the consecutive games started record of 91 for the Blue Devils, most career points (2,556), most field goals in career (621) and in-game (21), and most assists in career (673) and season (258). Wisman was named to all-tourney teams at Quincy and Pekin and was also selected to several all-state teams. He played in the McDonald Classic and Derby Classic in 1974. A four-year letterman at Indiana, Wisman started in 1976-77 and 1977-78. As a sophomore, he played on the Hoosier’s undefeated NCAA champions.
