Biography: Stan London was an outstanding prep basketball player on the famed teams of Mark Peterman at Springfield High School and was accorded all-state honors in 1948. London received honorable mention all-American status under Blair Gullion at Washington University (St. Louis). Dr. London helped coach both basketball and baseball while attending Washington University in 1948-49. Dr. Stan London was the team physician for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team for 29 seasons. During that time, he missed only 7 home games. Additionally, he was the team physician for the NBA’s St. Louis Hawks for 11 seasons. Dr. London died on June 10, 2020 at the age of 94.
