Biography: Paul scored 2,743 career points at (Trenton) Wesclin High School which placed him 14th on the state’s all-time list.  He led the Warriors to the 1990 IHSA Class A State Title with an 83-78 double overtime victory over (Fairbury) Prairie Central High School  Paul accepted a scholarship at the University of Iowa, but after a severe broken leg, transferred to Southern Illinois University to play for legendary coach, Rich Herrin.  Paul helped lead the Salukis to 3 NCAA tournament berths.  He scored 1,031 points at SIU before beginning a career in coaching.  Paul has served as an assistant coach at:  Southwestern Illinois College, Missouri Southern State University, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Purdue University and Creighton University.  He has been a head coach at the University of Dubuque and Missouri State University.
