Biography: Roger Morningstar averaged 23 points as a senior at Dundee High School where he was accorded all-conference honors. Morningstar played two seasons at Olney Junior College, which placed in the national tournament in 1973. Morningstar was named all-tourney, tourney sportsmanship award winner while averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds. He was accorded NJCAA All-America honors in 1973. As a junior Morningstar played a major role in 1974 as Kansas placed fourth in the NCAA tournament. Kansas won two Big Eight Conference championships while Morningstar played there. He averaged 12 points and five rebounds. Twice he was named as the recipient of the Dutch Lonborg (inspirational) award. Morningstar was drafted by the Boston Celtics. He played one year of European basketball before joining Converse Inc.
