Biography: Ed Makovsky was an outstanding center at Morton of Cicero in 1950 and 1951. Makovsky teams rolled to a combined record of 46-4. Twice he was named All-Suburban League and was an All-Stater and All-America as a senior. Makovsky played in the North-South All-Star game after his senior year. He played varsity basketball at the University of Illinois and was the team captain his senior year. He won the Ralph Woods Trophy at Illinois.
