Brad Waller

Biography: Brad made his reputation as a pure shooter as a phenomenal scorer at (Lombard) Glenbard East High School.  He played there for coach Dan Traeger.  Brad was a consensus All-State, All-Area, and All-Conference with 33.2 ppg. and 13.8 rbpg. averages as senior (1979-80).  He broke the 40-point barrier 10 times that year.  After high school, he signed a National Letter of Intent with The University of Cincinnati and coach Ed Badger.  Brad scored 148 points in 28 games as frosh before transferring to Northern Illinois University where he played from 1982-85.  Brad earned three varsity letters for IBCA HOF head coach(1974) John McDougal.  Brad graduated among NIU’s Top 50 career scorers (787 points in 66 games for 11.9 ppg. average).  He served as NIU co-captain as a senior.   Three-time Brad was named as an All-MAC Academic (First-Team in 1983-84 and 1984-85, plus Honorable Mention in 1982-83).  Brad averaged double-figure scoring in all three NIU seasons (11.2 ppg. in 1982-83, 11.7 ppg. in 1983-84, and 13.7 ppg. in injury-curtailed 1984-85 campaign).  He has been named on the All-Century Team during the NIU Centennial (1999-2000).  He has been voted on the All-Time Chick Evans Team (1995).   Brad earned a bachelor’s degree in history at NIU (1985) and J.D. from NIU College of Law (1988).  Brad served for many years as a resident circuit judge of the 23td Judicial Court in DeKalb County.
