Biography: Jonelle was a Chicago Tribune second-team all-state selection from (Peoria) Manual High School in 1983.  She earned Champaign News-Gazette all-state honors for that season.  Jonelle went on to star at The University of Illinois where she set career records for points scored (1,934) and rebounds (933).  Both records stood for more than a decade.  Jonelle played professionally in Europe for 4 years before returning to Peoria to manage the Proctor Recreation Center.  She is the founder of JEMS basketball and continues to be a role model for young women through basketball.
