Biography: LaMarr averaged 14.8 ppg during his senior season at Batavia High School while leading the Bulldogs to the IHSA Elite 8 berth. He earned all-area, and honorable mention all-state player honors. He received a full scholarship to play at The University of Notre Dame where he was Tri-captain his senior year in 1995. He was one of the last players recruited by Digger Phelps who stepped down in the spring of 1991. He went on to play 4 years for John MacCleod at Notre Dame. He played in 61 games and averaged 14.1 minutes per game for his career. The Notre Dame coaching staff commented that he had good leadership qualities, great speed and could recognize changing defenses and get the team into offense as a point guard his senior year. He also competed in track and field for the Irish. He was the winner of the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award during his senior year.
