Biography: Roger was a three-year starter at Ridgway, scoring 2,243 points before graduating in 1959. His senior year, Ridgway knocked off Jerry Sloan-led McLeansboro in the regional semifinals.  Roger later played at Kansas State under coach Tex Winter. He was a starter most of the time his sophomore through senior seasons. As a senior, he averaged 12.9 points and 8.8 rebounds on a team that won the Big Eight Conference and placed fourth in the NCAA Tournament.  Roger was drafted by the San Francisco Warriers of the NBA.
