Biography: Bill Hapac was one of the most outstanding athletes in the history of Morton (IL) HS and the University of Illinois.  He followed all-state player recognition in high school with All American status while at Illinois.  Sadly, Bill passed away on March 9, 1967 of a rare disease at the young age of 45.  Morton named their fieldhouse in his memory as Bill was one of the greatest competitors ever to play in the state of Illinois.
