Biography: Steve Kuberski graduated from Moline HS in 1965.  During his senior year, he scored 749 points in the Maroons’ 28 games, a Quad City record at the time.  After attending the University of Illinois and playing briefly as a sophomore, he transferred to Bradley University in 1967.  During the 1967-68 season he played in an industrial league, was one of 16 players in an AAU group chosen to participate in the 1968 Olympic trials.  At Bradley for the 1968-69 season, he tied with L.C. Bowen for team scoring honors with 598 points for a 23.0 ppg average.  In September of 1969, Steve signed with the Boston Celtics after being drafted in the 4th round, foregoing his final season of collegiate eligibility.  Steve played in the NBA for 11 seasons, 8 with the Celtics.
