Biography: Gary was a star at Granite City High School from 1966-69.  He averaged 25 ppg as a junior and 27 ppg as a senior, earning first team St. Louis all-Metro honors.  Gary played at LSU with the legendary Pete Maravich.  Gary averaged 34.6 ppg on the freshman team and played as a sophomore on the varsity.  He was drafted into the Army and later died of cancer on Novermber 22, 1980 at the age of 29.
