Biography: Bob Lackey was the reason that the Evanston Wildkits were the 1967-68 IHSA State Champions with a 30-1 record. The 6’4”, 180 lb senior scored better than 16 ppg. Bob was the leading scorer in the state tournament series with 80 points in four games. Lackey played junior college basketball at Casper, WY earning the All-American player honors with a 22.7 ppg average. He went on to Marquette University and was named the team captain for the 1971-72 season. In June of 1972, Bob signed with the New York Nets of the ABA. Bob Lackey passed away on June 4, 2002 at the age of 53.
