Biography: The College of DuPage made basketball history when the Chaparrals became the first program in the NJCAA to win national championships in both men’s and women’s basketball in the same year.  The women, who were again ranked #1 in the country, rolled through the tournament and finished the season with a 27-4 record.  They defeated Northland (MN) 66-49 in the final game.  Head Coach Earl Reed won his 2nd national title in three seasons.
