Biography: The 1941-42 Paris High School Tigers were undefeated and ranked number 1 going into the State Championship game against Centralia High School when the Orphan’s Dike Eddleman gave a memorable performance to upset the Tigers.  Coach Ernie Eveland’s team had won 39 straight games and were led by All Tournament players Nate Middleton, Dave Humerickhouse, Dick Foley, Max Norman, and Warren Collier.  The team’s final record was 39-1.
