Biography: The 1941-42 Centralia Orphans capped a Cinderella season with a 35-33 come-from-behind win over Paris High School in the State Title Game.  Led by All-State player, Dike Eddleman, the Orphans rallied from a nine point deficit in the fourth quarter to secure Coach Arthur Trout’s 3rd state title for Centralia HS.  That was one of several dramatic victories along the tournament trail for the Orphans, who were heavily favored to win the state the previous year but finished in 3rd place.  Eddleman was the only returning starter from that team.  Centralia also won ints 3rd consecutive Pontiac Holiday Tournament Title enroute to a 34-6 overall record.
