Biography:

At the time of his induction, Matt had been head girls’ basketball coach at Frankfort Community High School for 24 years. His 330 career victories are more than any other boys’ or girls’ coach in school history.

Matt’s teams have won seven IHSA Regional championships, six Southern Illinois River to River OHIO Division titles, one IHSA Sectional crown and one IHSA Super-sectional game. In 1998, his team placed fourth in the state, the school’s first time to bring home a state trophy. Matt has served the IBCA as a member of the girls’ all state player selection committee for many years.
