Biography: George Havens has 30 years of coaching varsity basketball to his credit with 10 years at Nashville and 20 years at Jerseyville.  During those great 30 years, his teams compiled an impressive 566-287 record.  Besides winning over 500 games, his teams have won 14 Regional Championships, 2 Sectionals and his 1949 Nashville team finished 4^th in the State Tournament.  George retired from coaching in 1970 and served as Assistant Principal-Athletic Director at Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville, Illinois until the end of his career.  George Havens died on November 24, 2003.
