Biography: In a career that spanned nearly 40 years, James’ teams accumulated 500+ victories.  Most of the wins came at the high school level with 79 wins coming during a 6 year stint at Elgin Communty College.  His final 17 years of head coaching came at (Algonquin) Jacobs High School where from 2006-2009, they had the best 3 year record in Illinois at 76-9.  In 2008, the team won the IHSA Regional.  James also coached at Chester High School and (Carpentersville) Dundee-Crown High School.
