Biography:

Bill was the son of Rockford legendary coach Jim Laude, who coached the Rabs to the state title in 1938-39. Bill was the first 1,000-point scorer in Rockford/Winnebago County history. He finished with 1,118 points in his Rockford East High School career.

East was 17-8 in Bill’s sophomore year, 17-7 his junior season and 23-8 in his senior year of 1953-54, qualifying for state in the final season of his father’s coaching career. He was recruited to play for Kansas State University.

Bill Laude died on September 21, 2019 at the age of 84.
