Biography:

At the time of his induction, Stan Mitchell had been an IHSA basketball official for 38 years, working the boys’ Class AA state tournament in 2002, 2003 and 2006. He also has worked 26 regionals, 16 sectionals and 6 supersectionals in his distinguished career.

Mitchell was been busy on the holiday tournament circuit as well and worked at Elmhurst York, Hinsdale Central, Park Ridge Maine East, Hillside Proviso West, Plano, Algonquin Jacobs, Elmhurst Immaculate Conception/Westmont, Wheeling and Elgin. He served as an official for the 2004 IBCA All-Star Game. He also had officiated IHSA football for 26 seasons.
