Biography: Clem Naughton was an outstanding athlete at (Chicago) St. Mel HS and DePaul University.    After college graduation, Clem spent 24 years at the now closed (Chicago) St. Phillip HS.  He served as head basketball coach during this time and also assumed the head football coaching responsibility for several years as well as later becoming the athletic director.  His 1945 senior team won the Catholic League as well as becoming Chicago City Champions.  His junior teams captured the Catholic League title on two occasions.  Combined, his junior and senior quintets won nine sectional championships.  Clem ended his career as athletic director at Hales Franciscan HS.  Clem Naughton passed away on October 16, 1995.
