Biography:

Dave became the all-time scoring leader at (Bethalto) Civic Memorial High School with 1,789 points from 1967-70. He averaged 28 points per game in his junior and senior seasons, earning all-state and all-Metro honors. (Note:  This was before the 3 point basket was added to the game.)

A 6-foot-4 guard/forward, Dave headed to Kansas University. His first start came as a sophomore against Georgia Tech and he scored 28 points. He played in 55 games and scored 309 career points for the Jayhawks. Kansas made the 1974 NCAA Final Four in an injury-plagued senior season.
