Biography: At the time of his 1982 Hall of Fame Induction, Will Kellogg was in his 25th year of basketball coaching, the final 21 at (Chicago) Brother Rice High School. Kellogg had compiled a 264-241 varsity record at Brother Rice and won 135 games in 12 seasons at the lightweight level (varsity players 5-9 and under). His club was named “best coached” in the 1962 DePaul University Tournaments. He was the Chicago Catholic League Man of the Year in 1968 and named to its Hall of Fame in 1979. Kellogg’s first four seasons were spent at St. Peter & St. Paul High School in Ottawa, Ohio, where he posted 58 wins and 33 losses & was named the Class A Coach of the Year for Northwest Ohio in 1959. Will Kellogg passed away on December 12, 2015 at the age of 81.
