Biography

Bob Sullivan was associated with the basketball scene in a variety of capacities for more than 40 years. As a coach he became directly involved with Illinois high school basketball after his college graduation. Sullivan served as an assistant coach at (Summit) Argo, (Park Forest) Rich East and (Harvey) Thornton High Schools. He also served as head varsity coach for four years at (Richton Park) Rich South High School and spent five years at (Dolton) Thornridge High School, where he was 67-53 with an IHSA Regional title.

After he retired from coaching, Sullivan became involved in numerous basketball camps. He directed camps for Doug Collins, John Paxson, Tim Hardaway and Brad Davis. He also directed numerous clinics, including those for the IBCA.  Sullivan served the IBCA as a member of the board and the all-state selection committee.

After moving on to the NBA, Sullivan worked as an offensive consultant and analyst for the Chicago Bulls and as a regional professional and collegiate scout for the Utah Jazz.
