Biography: William Waldrip attended Greenup HS and Western Illinois University.  He started coaching at Greenup Junior High in 1940 and had several years of outstanding teams.  He moved to Greenup HS in 1946 and then to Cumberland HS in 1949.  In over 30 years of coaching Bill’s teams won 428 games against only 229 losses.  Bill finished his career as coach and guidance counselor at Cumberland HS.  Coach Waldrip died on November 2, 1997 at the age of 79.
