Biography:

Gene built a 420-276 record in 24 years as a boys’ head coach at (Chicago) Marist and Naperville North high schools. Included is a 330-193 mark in 18 seasons at Chicago Marist and a 90-83 record in six years at Naperville North.

Gene has had 10 seasons of 20 or more victories and four seasons with 25 or more wins. His teams have captured seven IHSA Regional championships, two conference titles and 12 tournament championships.
