Biography:

Dean coached for 30 years, spending his first season as an assistant coach at Macomb High School in 1973-74. He was the varsity assistant at Joliet West High School from 1974-77, boys’ head coach at Riverside-Brookfield from 1977-82, varsity assistant at (Hillside) Proviso West High School for 11 seasons and head girls’ coach at Riverside-Brookfield High School for six.

Dean’s first year as boys’ head coach at his alma mater, Riverside-Brookfield, produced 18 wins, the most at the school since the 1948-49 season.
