Biography:

Ray just completed his 57th year in coaching, serving as a volunteer assistant at McHenry High School. He had coached in South Dakota, North Dakota and Iowa before coaching in Illinois at Cary Grove, Crystal Lake Central, Prairie Ridge, Dunlap and McHenry. He also coached women’s college basketball at North Central and Elmhurst Colleges.

Ray was girls’ head coach at Crystal Lake Central from 1989-97, building a 150-89 record with five IHSA Regionals and three conference championships.
