Biography:

Charlie has spent more than 40 years as a sportswriter, including stints at the LaSalle News Tribune, Bureau County Republican and The Times in Ottawa. He has covered more than a dozen state championship games across multiple sports.

Charlie has won numerous awards for his game stories and columns during his distinguished career and has also been honored for his photography work. He has done considerable charitable work with the Special Olympics and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
