Biography: At the time of his induction in 1973, Kenny Jones was the retired sports editor of the Peoria Journal Star.  For many years he was one of the foremost sports writers in the state and was a strong promoter of Illinois prep basketball.  In 1966, the Peoria Ad Club presented their first “Meritorious service trophy” to Kenny for his endeavors in the promotion of youth basketball.  A graduate of Bradley University, Kenny was a life-long resident of Peoria.  Kenny passed away on April 8, 2012.
