Biography: Al coached at Plano High School for 33 years, leading to his 2019 Hall of Fame induction.  He served as a boys’ assistant coach for 20 years, a girls’ assistant coach for 8 years, boys’ head coach for 1 year and girls’ head coach for 4 seasons.  He was instrumental in the Plano boys’ 4th place IHSA state finish in 1999.  Al has been on the staff for 2 boys IHSA Regional Championships, 2 girls’ IHSA Regional Championships, and 1 boys’ IHSA Sectional title.  Al contributed to 5 of the banners hanging in the Plano gym.
