Biography: Darlene spent 40+ years in high school athletics, mostly in the Chicago-area Catholic schools.  She coached volleyball and softball and was the athletic director at (Chicago) St. Barbara High School for 27 years.  While there, Darlene began the girls’ basketball program in 1980.  She would then spend 8 years at (Chicago) Maria High School before moving west to Burbank where she was nearly a decade at Queen of Peace High School.  Darlene would finish her outstanding career as the athletic director at Crete-Monee High School. Darlene served the GCAC as their president for 15 years.
