Biography: Steve had a total coaching career of 39 years, all but one of them at Morton (IL) High School.  He spent one year as freshman coach at Metamora High School before heading to Morton, where he was the sophomore coach for 22 years.  Those underclass teams posted a 358-125 record with 11 conference titles.  Steve then ws head coach at Morton for 15 seasons, building a 237-184 record with 3 Mid-Illini Conference titles and 3 IHSA Regional Championships.
